Polynesian Music Network+ is a Pasifika media platform that has grown well beyond its name. Music, sports, culture, news and the moments our community shares, told by us, for us, wherever we are in the world.
Where we started
From music to a movement
Polynesian Music began in June 2017 as a home for the sounds of the Pacific. Fans came for the music and stayed for each other. Over the years, the conversation grew to the games we watch together, the culture we carry, the news from home and the people making us proud.
So we grew with it.
Polynesian Music Network+ became a network built around the people, stories and culture connecting the Pacific and its diaspora. PMN+ keeps the name our community knows and adds the plus for everything beyond the music. What started as a place to discover Pacific music has grown into a platform connecting artists, athletes, creators, communities and audiences through the stories that matter to us.
The “Network” is the connection. The “+” is everything beyond music.
Today, our network spans communities and creatives across the Pacific and around the world. Our team is on the ground at the biggest games, concerts and community events, bringing you inside access to the Pacific.
Why we do it
Like the ocean, social media connects us. It closes the distance between islands, cities and generations.
Our people live everywhere, from Apia and Nukuʻalofa to Auckland, Sydney, Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. Mainstream media too often overlooks our stories. PMN+ puts them front and centre, so wherever you are, home is never far.
